Android Battery Issues

Greetings, If you are reading this post then probably you are also facing battery issues on your phone just like I used to.
This post is very useful for all Android users, it will teach you how to save more battery on your phone and optimize it.

Note:  This post is little inclined to HTC phones. But most of the tips are general and can be followed on other phones also.

Tips to save battery
1) Brightness: Reduce the brightness of the phone to the minimum visible level, this helps A LOT to save battery.

2)Vibrate: Do not keep the phone on vibrate mode, this one thing which eats your battery most and also reduces the battery life.

3)Animation: If your phone has any animation features like it animates when you click on menu button then turn it off completely. (HTC phones does have this animation feature)

4)2G network: Most of the cities in India still doesn't have 3G network. Even if they have then the tariff rates are way too much. In case you are not using 3G network then switch your phone to 2G network only. Your phones tries to search for 3G network when it is idle and it consumes battery.

5)Black Background: Try to use black wallpaper as your home screen background, it helps!

6)Screen Timeout: Set your screen timeout to the minimum.

7)Turn off your WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS/Auto Sync when you don't need them. (Highly recommended)

8)Turn off the haptic feedback. (HTC phone feature)

9) Turn off the option "vibrate when you type".

10)Download "Advance Task Killer" from Android market, it helps to kill the apps which are running in background (Although many people argue that task killer is waste)

11)Mobile Network: Turn off your mobile network when you are not using it.

12) Download  Green Power: Facing battery back-up issue on your phone? Charging phone every 20 hours? Then this app is very useful. Just download it and run it and forget about charging phone. A must for every Android user

P.S: Earlier I had to charge my phone within 24 hours. But after applying the above changes, I can use my phone for almost 48 hours without charging. :)

Hope you find it useful. If any doubt then please feel free to comment.

The Legendary Battle- The Clash of the TITANS

"Napoleon left with 170,000 men ,
Julius Caesar lead a war with 50,00 loyal men,
Adolf Hitler manifested an army of 18 million,
On the 30th of March we about to see the biggest battle yet, where one little master will lead an army of 1.1 billion onto the battlefield. If the event and its outcomes arent mentioned in 2012s 10 std history books, we know the indian education board isnt doing their job" - Taken from Taras Patel's Wall.

It all comes to 30th March 2011, ICC World Cup 2011 India Vs Pakistan Semi-Finals.
Year 1947 separated these two countries and after 64 years, these two will come down together to one ground to fight for respect, to fight for THE CUP THAT MATTERS.

Even Wikipedia mentions "The Indian and Pakistani cricket team have been long-time arch rivals and their rivalry is considered one of the most intense sports rivalries in the world". The senior cricketer Ravi Shastri said that “India vs Pakistan. The semi final clash would be the mother of all matches”

If you ask how intense it gets, here are some stats which will showcase the intensity of this match.
During any other match of world cup, the average cost for a 10 seconds advertisement is Rs 3 Lakhs to 5 Lakhs. But, during the EPIC battle of India and Pakistan, it increases to a WOOPING amount of Rs 13 Lakhs to 15 LAKHS. Too much for just a match? Yes? NO! consider this fact, An India-Pakistan cricket match has been estimated to attract up to one hundred million television viewers according to well respected TV ratings firm Initiative. So if we do the maths, it comes down to Rs 15* per 1000 viewers. Now that's cheap.
Fans, fanatics around the globe already started their travels to watch the match and hotel rooms 25Kms away from the town are reserved early. Now lets talk about the tickets of the match, The Tickets for the Mohali Semi-final match between India Vs. Pakistan in the black market with the hike of 10% to 50% on the regular price. Last Quarter Final Cricket of India Vs. Australia were played in the Ahmedabad Sardar Vallabhbhai Stadium. The tickets for the quarter final were sold in few hours. Last ICC Cricket world cup tickets were sold in the black prices are:
  • 100 Rs Tickets were sold in 1500 INR
  • 150 Rs. Tickets were sold in 3000 INR
  • 800 Rs. Tickets were sold in 5000 INR
  • 1500 Rs. Tickets were sold in 8000 INR to 25000 INR
If this was the situation in INDIA VS AUSTRALIA, then think how much it will go in India Vs Pakistan.

If we talk about past, India and Pakistan has come across 4 times in world cup, and all the time India has beaten Pakistan.

Will Dhoni's team do it? Will India trash Pakistan out of world cup and raise the CUP?

Will little master-blaster show Akhtar exit door?

Inshah-allah!!
The answer will unfold on 30th of March.

A new Start from the Beginning.

Hello Friends,

After waiting for so long and after applying so much brain, I finally decided to make my own blog :) .

First of all, I want to share an incident that made my this decision strong. Recently, I took part in a speech competition in Ahmedadbad Management Association, which apparently is my college also,  called "S.R Bhandari Best Speaker Award". I got through the preliminary round and got selected for finals (Not a great achievement as they selected all the 18 speakers). But, the final round of the competition made me realize how much I lack and how I need to improve. I realized I am very bad when it comes to public speaking. I completely messed up my speech. And this thing forced me to start read newspaper on DAILY routine, read mythological books and to start writing blog in order to improve my vocabulary.
Let's hope blogging helps me.

This blog won't be any particular subject oriented, but I would try to include as many things as possible on the Top of the Desk!

Feedbacks are most welcome.

Warm regards,
Sarvesh.
